Inspiration for Blossomflow
The inception of Blossomflow Foundation can be traced back to a poignant encounter experienced by Joan Faluyi. While on a routine grocery shopping trip, she noticed a young girl in distress, her attire stained, and her eyes filled with anxiety. Upon learning that the girl needed sanitary pads but lacked the funds, Joan immediately bought the necessary products for her. This simple act of kindness resonated deeply with Joan, highlighting the stark contrast between her daughters’ lives and the struggles of many girls in Nigeria.
Realizing the magnitude of period poverty in Nigeria, Joan was inspired to create a sustainable impact. This led to the foundation of BlossomFlow, with a mission to provide consistent access to menstrual hygiene products and education for those in need.

Mrs. Olayinka Amudipe – President, FGSSOSA
Period poverty is a harsh reality when girls cannot afford sanitary pads, making it difficult to maintain proper menstrual hygiene. This outreach has not only provided us with the necessary sanitary products but also educated us on how to manage our menstrual health. I feel more confident and supported knowing that such initiatives are in place to help us.
